Our approach
This website has been built with accessibility in mind, including:
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page
- A skip-to-content link and keyboard-operable navigation, including the mobile menu
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Labelled form fields with error messages announced to assistive technology
- Colour choices intended to maintain readable contrast
- Responsive layouts that work with zoom and small screens
- Restrained use of animation
Conformance
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a design reference. We have not undertaken a formal third-party audit, so we do not claim certified conformance. We continue to review and improve the site.
Known limitations
The embedded map is provided by a third party and its accessibility is outside our control. The full address is provided as text next to the map so the information is available without using it.
